ANT+ technology
Why studios still choose ANT+
ANT+ was designed for sport, not for phones. Sensors broadcast heart rate on 2.4 GHz; a USB stick in the Pulse Monitor PC listens to many belts at once. There is no pairing ritual and no seven-device Bluetooth cap.
In Pulse Monitor one ANT+ receiver supports up to 42 participants. Indoor range is typically 10-12 metres in open space. That is enough for most cycling and fitness rooms when the dongle sits high, with a clear view of the group.
You can combine ANT+ with Bluetooth in the same class if some athletes arrive with Bluetooth-only sensors.
- Frequency: 2.4 GHz
- USB receiver required
- Up to 42 participants
- Range: about 10-12 metres
Below we show only examples of devices that we have tested or that our customers have used. There are a great many more compatible devices on the market. Always verify which technology a device supports, or ask the seller.

- Ratings are average scores based on the experience of our customers.
- Range is the figure given by the manufacturer or observed by us or our customers. Real range varies a lot with room layout, obstacles, number of participants and so on.
